The Annual Education Scholarship Distribution Programme of CODP for the year 2015-2016 was held on May 28th 2015 at CODP conference hall. The programme started with a prayer song followed by welcome of the chief guest of the programme Vicar General Msgr. Denis Moras Prabhu.

The Director of CODP Fr. Oswald Monteiro, in his welcome speech said that CODP represents the church of the poor and for the poor.  However mere charity doesn’t help development, rather we should make use of assets in and around us.  Therefore he asked the people to avail Govt. facilities and develop themselves.  He quoted the Nobel laureate Mr. Mohammad Younis who dreamed of making poverty a museum piece.
