Blessed Carlo Acutis: (3 May 1991 –12 October 2006) was an Italian Catholic school boy and amateur computer programmer. He was best known for documenting Eucharistic miracles around the world and cataloguing them all onto a website that he created in few months before his death from leukemia. He was noted for his cheerfulness, computer skills as well as for his deep devotion to the Eucharist, which became the core theme of his life. He was beatified on 10 October 2020.
Indian Catholic Youth Movement Bajjodi unit honoured the newly beatified young Blessed Carlo Acutis - 'The Patron of the Internet' by offering flowers before the 8.30 am mass on 25th October 2020. Fr. Rayan Pinto was the Main celebrant. Parish Priest Fr. Ivan Dsouza concelebrated in the Eucharist. Fr. Rayan in his homily highlighted the main qualities of Blessed Carlo and explained how at such a young age, amidst computers and modern lifestyle, he became an icon of holiness.
Vice-President Prakash Saldanha, Secretary Irine Pinto and parish youth were among those present. Parish Priest Fr. Ivan D'souza thanked everyone at the end of the mass.
