Peace and joy for the month of November. At the very outset I thank you all for the wholehearted cooperation for the success of my Episcopal Ordination on the 15th of September. I thank you for the financial assistance you have contributed for the expenses of the Episcopal Ordination and also I am grateful for the organization you have done to bring the people to participate in the programme. Please convey my thanks to the people too. After the Episcopal Ordination I had to go to Rome to settle the things at Urban University, after which I am now fully into the diocese. I am at work in the formation of the College of Consulters and the Finance Committee of the Diocese, the highest bodies in the administration of the diocese. To begin with, my participation in the deanery meetings, help me very much to know the aspirations of the priests in the pastoral governance of the diocese. I felt the warmth of co-operation from the deaneries which I have already visited. I am eagerly l looking forward to the meeting of Council of Priests on the 6th of December and also the Diocesan Pastoral Parishad on a convenient day thereafter.

The month of November begins with the Feast of All Saints and the day dedicated for the departed souls. Though by the time this issue of the Internos reaches your hands, a few days will be already over for the reception of the plenary and partial indulgence promised from 1st to 8th of November, you may still announce to the faithful about it in the remaining days. Please refer to the Liturgical Calendar for more details.

On the concluding of the 450th Jubilee of Rosario Cathdral, a three days’ Thanksgiving Celebration is arranged at the Cathedral from 15th to 18th November in the evenings, with Praise and Worship, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Spiritual Exhortations along with the Holy Eucharist. I recommend that priests and the faithful from the surrounding deaneries, near and far, participate in this spiritual event.

We conclude the Liturgical year with the celebration of the Feast of Christ the King and the week days thereafter. We consecrate ourselves to Christ the Universal King. The new Liturgical year that we begin with the Holy season of Advent, be a grace filled time for us to meditate upon the great mystery of Incarnation and through which we welcome the Saviour.

May God bless you all.
